LUCY ROSE PAGE
My name is Lucy Rose Page, a composer, singer and sound artist based in Paris. After many years spent singing stuff mostly by dead guys (ie being an opera singer), I decided to join the realm of the living, and to find my own sound. I am forever amazed by the transcendental power of music to transport us to other worlds, to add infinite emotional layers to an image, to move us, in every sense of the word.
I especially delight in creating music for film (including arthouse documentaries for France TV 2, Pussy Riot, Rage Against Poutine, and France TV 5, USSR, the Collapse,) blending classical, ambiant and electronic styles. My own singing voice and violin combine to create my individual and eclectic sonic world. I have also composed music and bespoke soundscapes for live performance, including an aerial dance and musical collaboration in France. I also collaborate with Massive Music Agency and Trailer Rebel.
Years of touring as a singer, an irrepressible love of dancing and electronic music, a childhood full of violin and piano lessons, a fascination with music’s ability to to tell a story by speaking directly to our hearts, and a good dose of geekiness have all equipped and lead me to write and produce my own music.
