My name is Lucy Rose Page, a composer, singer and sound artist based in Paris. After many years spent singing stuff mostly by dead guys (ie being an opera singer), I decided to join the realm of the living, and to find my own sound. I am forever amazed by the transcendental power of music to transport us to other worlds, to add infinite emotional layers to an image, to move us, in every sense of the word.

I especially delight in creating music for film (including the arthouse documentaries Pussy Riot, Rage Against Poutine, and USSR, the Collapse for France Télévision) blending classical, ambiant and electronic styles. It is a joy to collaborate with other artists, as I have done recently with contemporary sculptor Jacob Van der Buegel, composing and producing a score for a conceptual film exploring the subject of data transmission through his sculptures. As a voice artist, I recently sung and created the role of 'The Wife' in Theodore Ushev's animation 'The Idiot', who expresses herself entirely through musical sounds. I compose music and bespoke soundscapes for live performance, including an aerial dance and musical collaboration in France. I also partner with Massive Music and Trailer Rebel, producing original scores for film trailers and commercials. My own singing voice and violin combine to enrich my individual and eclectic sonic world.

Years of touring as a singer, an irrepressible love of dancing and electronic music, a childhood full of violin and piano lessons, a fascination with music’s ability to to tell a story by speaking directly to our hearts, and a good dose of geekiness have all equipped and lead me to write and produce my own music.
